SLS post processing according to your needs

Selective laser sintering is capable to produce in its core process highly complex geometries with a great precision. Some application may need post processing in order to increase the quality of the surface or to increase precision or functionality. Let us present you the non-exhaustive list of post processing possibilities:

Tumbling

Reduced the roughness of the surface using the troval technology.

Dye colouring

Allows your objects to be presented in any colour.

Conventional painting

In a combination of spraying and polishing, both surface quality and colour can be reached according to every need. Even metallic and gloosy looks are possible.

Polishing

Manual grinding using sandpapers to reduce the roughness of the surface.

Waterproofing

To get your parts water and weather proofed.

Galvanizing

Addition of several layers of metal coating, always starting with the chemical coating of copper. Helps to put plastic parts on the level of metallic parts regarding mechanical properties, glossy effects, electrical conductivity or magnetism.

Adding threats

For additional joining possibilities, we can add threats with different options.

Mechanical post processing

In order to reach mainly specific precision request, your parts might be post turned, post milled or post drilled.

Standard tolerances in the SLS process are in the range of a tenth of a millimeter. If you require a higher degree of precision, this can easily be achieved locally through mechanical reworking. Simply let us know your requirements and we will be happy to discuss with you what is possible.
